Everything is connected…
Energy Practices such as Qigong and Tai Chi stimulate the Qi or Life Force Energy and bring the body into its natural state of balance. When we experience trauma – physical and emotional – our bodies hold onto the memory of the trauma and store it in our tissues, joints, and energetic body. In the same way, when we do not allow our emotions and stress to “flow” through the body and find release, the energy remains stuck in the body. This “stuck” Qi can manifest as pain, illness, or dis-ease. Combining Body Centered Wellness Coaching techniques, the Practice of Mindfulness and Loving Presence, and Energy Work (Qigong and Tai Chi), I practice with you to release the “issues from your tissues,” stimulate your Qi and allow the Mind Body to remember its Eternal state of Wellness and Wholeness.

Is that what you hear when you think about making yourself, your needs, and desires a priority?
I’m here to tell you….IT’S A CON!! This is a deception of the worst degree designed to keep you from proving to yourself that YOU ARE WORTHY.
As children, many of us fell into a caretaker or fixer role. Whether you’re the oldest child that felt the responsibility of caring for younger siblings, the “peace maker” in your family that shouldered the management of diverse personalities, or the child-adult with the burden of physically and/or emotionally caring for a parent – you formed a core belief around your worth being connected to your ability and willingness to care for others.
You know what will change that story? One of the most powerful ways to shift out of the Burdened Caretaker Role is to begin to take care of YOU.
Self Care is the ULTIMATE way to ReParent yourself. What seems so simple – routines and practices that focus on tending to your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and desires – will be the biggest challenge to your Worthiness Story…a story you will shed bit by bit, layer by layer as you continue to show up and Care for YOU.
What do I mean by Self Care?? I’m not just talking about a relaxing bath or a massage (though those practices are WONDERFUL)…I’m talking about INVESTING in yourself. Time, Energy, Money, Resources.
You’re not a cheap date! Your system and Worthiness Story can’t be bought off with a Girls Night Out. By Investing in yourself – taking the time to cook (most) of your meals and choosing nourishing foods, arranging your schedule to get movement into your body, setting boundaries in place that allow you to rest, have fun, and do nothing – these are the consistent, day to day practices that will put that Worthiness Story to rest.
How do I know? Because I’ve been there…(and find myself here again)
Here I am, the voice of Self Care and Self Love, calling at the top of my voice – you are WORTH taking care of yourself!!
Meanwhile, in service to my growing business, I’m skipping lunch and gaining weight at the same time (how does THAT happen?….not enough movement and late night wine and chocolate). Instead of investing the quality time and energy in myself with Self Care, I settled for the cheap knock off of “treating” myself with wine and chocolate and binge watching Netflix.
No more. I can’t be mollified by “treats” with no real substance. I’ve ReParented myself by paying attention to my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs…I know how to do this and I know the result will ultimately translate in shedding old patterns and stories that aren’t serving me, my family, or my business. This little divergence is the result of wanting to uplevel in my life purpose – I know it’s natural that things get a little out of whack when I want to expand in one particular area of my life. And that’s okay. But I also know that Self Care is the grounding support I need in order to maintain the expansion.
If you’re ready to expand, to grow…to shift your Worthiness Story….do ONE THING today that tells your Inner Child – YOU are precious…so precious that I’m going to take Exquisite Care of You. I’m going to take the time to feed you nourishing foods that will support your body to move and play and open up to life’s beauty. I’m going to protect you from things that don’t feel good to you – too much screen time or things that keep you disconnected or numbed out to your joy.
